The Teatro Colón is an icon of the city of Buenos Aires, one of the most important opera houses in the world, unique with its resident companies —Orchestra, Ballet, and Choir— and its own workshops, which allow it to fully produce its seasons. Building upon this rich tradition, we crafted a visual identity to give the theater its distinctive voice. A graphic system firmly anchored in typography: Colón Serif, specifically developed for this project. A contemporary reinterpretation of classic Garamond models, characterized by their clarity and readability, as an analogy to the exceptional acoustic conditions of the theater. A roman typeface that serves as a bridge between history and the present, between the classical and the contemporary, paving the way for a contemporary cultural experience.
